Located at 500 Las Colinas Blvd West in Irving, Texas, the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas hosts conventions, trade shows, and large-scale events throughout the year. Legends Global manages food and beverage operations for the venue, serving guests across several concession locations during shows and conventions.

The Challenge

Irving Convention Center wanted to offer guests a quick, grab-and-go food option without taking on the labor and food costs of opening a full-service outlet for every event. Leadership was not yet certain where in the building that offering belonged, so the team started cautiously: it deployed a single Mashgin kiosk and brought it out only during the venue's busiest shows to gauge demand.

Early performance was strong enough that Irving Convention Center renovated a dedicated section of the building into a standalone grab-and-go space and added a second Mashgin kiosk, pairing the system with its existing Clover point-of-sale to create a fully self-service checkout experience for guests moving between sessions.

Choosing Mashgin

Two Mashgin kiosks now anchor the venue's grab-and-go space, running alongside Clover. Guests load several items onto the tray at once and check out in seconds, with no barcode scanning and no cashier required. The first kiosk went live in June 2025; the second followed in January 2026 when the dedicated grab-and-go space opened.
